The ergonomic Asana chair is based on a basic yoga sitting on your own feet, called “VIRASANA”. It is a relaxing body position used to eliminate low back pain and general fatigue. Own calves with their anatomy create an ideal seating surface that does not exert pressure on critical points of the human body that are stressed during normal sitting. The health effects were 100% confirmed by tests at the Department of Biomechanics and Ergonomics of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. The unique seating solution of the ergonomic chair ASANA was awarded 1st prizes at domestic and international competitions of original products and ideas. The effects of the ergonomic ASANA chair have also been appreciated by many orthopedic and therapeutic experts, but especially by thousands of satisfied customers.

Read the conclusion of the tests at Charles University in Prague:
“It can be said that the condition of minimizing the long-term load on the pelvic structures is fulfilled without reservation by the ÁSANA-type structure. The ÁSANA type significantly advances the ergonomic quality of seat construction solutions with its new, original concept of the seating area. Its main positive benefit is the reduction of pressure on the pelvic floor while simultaneously fixing the pelvis in an optimal, adjustable position. This new feature does not appear in any variant of the current seats. That is why we recommend implementing this principle and introducing it into seats intended especially for workplaces with a monotonous sedentary mode of work, e.g. office workplaces with PCs, operator workplaces, car seats, etc.. We also recommend their use in the health sector, e.g. in reducing the consequences of handicaps, vertebrogenic syndrome, etc.”

See a comparison between a regular chair and an asana chair after sitting for several hours.
Conduct of the test
The test was conducted during certification at Charles University in Prague. The picture shows one of the subjects after a continuous session of 7 hours. The test subject sat in a regular chair from 9:00 to 12:30. The result of the session was pain between the shoulder blades and in the area of the lumbar vertebrae, discomfort in the neck area and light discomfort in the coccyx area. After sitting in a regular chair, the subject sat down in the test Asana chair, on which he sat until 4 p.m. We can see a radical retreat in pain and discomfort in all areas.

Why does sitting hurt?
The current seat of the chair forms a fixed full seat surface, which immediately exerts pressure on the human body. In addition to the gluteal and thigh muscles, those parts of the body that are not destined for sitting are also compressed – the anus, coccyx, pelvic bones, genitals. The pressure of the seat surface acts destructively directly on these printed parts and is transmitted through the coccyx to the spine, neck and head. At the same time, the classic sciatic surface does not provide for a stable position of the pelvis, into which pressures from the upper body are transmitted through the spine at a certain angle. When changing the optimal angle between the pelvis and spine, there is extreme strain on the muscles and ligaments in the area of the lower back. The result is pain in the lower back, neck, head, hemorrhoids, fatigue and decreased attention.

What to do about it, and how to avoid pain.
From this analysis, it is clear that if we want to radically eliminate all sitting problems, we need to remove pressure on all these critical parts of the body. The pressure coming from the seat of the chair must be shifted to the seat and thigh lining, which is adapted to this. At the same time, we must ensure a stable natural position of the pelvis to the spine so that there is no displacement of compressive forces from the upper body. After proper direction of pressure forces, an immediate noticeable effect occurs, and the session becomes a pleasant relaxation, respectively. working position. We simply sit in the right position and only on those parts of the body that are designed for this.

Virasana “divine design” of the seating area
The specific solution for the ideal seating area is based on the basic yoga sitting on your own feet, called “VIRASANA”. It is a relaxing body position used to eliminate low back pain and general fatigue. Own calves with their anatomy create an ideal seating surface, which does not exert pressure on the mentioned critical points of the human body, which are stressed during normal sitting. The coccyx, pelvic bones, rectum and genitals remain free, the pressure exerts only on the buttocks and thighs. At the same time, the pelvis is fixed with the heels and calves in the position as when walking upright. By applying these principles, we arrive at a design solution for an ideal seating area for humans.

Application
Based on these facts, the seating furniture of the ASANA series was designed, which includes an optimal seating surface VIRASANA, ensuring healthy and comfortable sitting even during extremely long sitting. With regular use, it will eliminate existing health problems arising from sitting.

7 Principles of Healthy Sitting – Test Your Chair
The results of the study at Charles University in Prague were summarized in 7 ergonomic principles of healthy sitting and with their expertise and complexity they are world leaders in the field of ergonomics.
Following the study, a unique ergonomic chair ASANA with an original seating surface was developed, which meets all 7 principles of healthy sitting. For the first time in the history of sitting, we can say that we have touched the real essence of the problem and the result is a comfortable, healthy sitting without fatigue and pain.
The ergonomic chair ASANA is designed in accordance with 7 principles of healthy sitting and in this sense it is currently unique in the world
-Do not strain the coccyx with pressure
-Do not strain 2 lower pelvic bones with pressure
-Do not strain the anus and genitals with pressure
-Transfer pressure from the seat to massive buttock and thigh muscles
-Ensure a stable position of the pelvic bone
-Ensure a correct and stable angle between the spine and pelvis
-Do not block the 1st root chakra – the energy gateway to the body
